    Awesome again!!! Amazing it's only 2 people...

    The White Stripes have such a distinct sound that their fans constantly wonder how long the ride will last. "Icky Thump" was, and still is a terrific album. That is what the White Stripes do though, put out terrific albums. When you listen to a W.S. album, you think to yourself "there is a lot going on here", like there is a full band playing the hard hitting music you're hearing...no, FEELing. You dont just hear a White Stripes song. You FEEL a White Stripes song. Whether it is Jack White's whaling vocals, Meg's POUNDING drums, the distinct sound of an O-L-D blues-style electric guitar getting ridden hard, or the vintage sounding keyboard/organ that you identify with, it just doesn't matter because the whole sound will leave you in awe.     Iggy Thump - why to buy

    White Stripes' decide to relax their recording process a little, and the music doesn't suffer! Great licks from the duo, once again pounding out bass and drums in a hard to label style. Are they Alternative? Blues? Rock?, I say sometimes yes to all, but they constantly experiment. Their albums get better and better the more you listen, first you get a thrill hearing your favorites, maybe you've heard one or two on the radio. Then the more you listen the more songs become your favorites, until the whole album is your favorite. I say well done, even without the dedication to old school recording.

    Rucker girl rocks

    Love all the guitar work on the album. Conquest makes me feel good. I'm not into doing the Tango but this song makes me want to just and give it a try. Of course the Icky thump has that hard driving rock sounds like what I grew up on. Prickly thorn has a nice chant about it and great instrumentals. The album on the whole has a wide varity of music and this is one reason that I enjoy this group.

    Fantastic ear candy

    I cannot stop listening to a White Stripes album once i start listening to it. The songs are better than tv, better than listening to books on tape. When i have household or computer chores to perform, i like to listen to this or any White Stripes album. Alas, the brother and sister White may not be performing together any more, but a body of work exists for us to attain and enjoy. Icky Thump is even more compelling than most of the rest of this band's albums. Indulge.
