Seller told me they’d no luck getting a lamp shade on but not why. The socket broke while trying to add a harp because the harp balance was broken. Hired an electrician to replace the harp balance, harp & restore the socket. Electrician noted that the wire & plug, possibly the socket were replaced in the 1980s. The body is in great shape. The lamp is now lit, sporting a shade & finial. I may further invest in replacing balance, harp, plug/wire with antiques so entire lamp is an antique.

Lamp was sold without the lampshade as description stated, don't know what the deal is? I told the buyer that I didn't have luck finding lamp shade for this lamp and it was sold without lampshade. Buyer left me neutral feedback because he broke the lamp? SELLERS BEWARE !!!!!!!!
