    liked this in 2d. but in 3d, this lush, beautiful world captures us and surrounds us with a mighty conflict between the age-old good & noble vs. evil. & deadly. the writing was already solid, the acting (with the possible exception of beyounce') brings the printed words to life. but the most remarkable attribute is the exquisite artwork, startling in clarity and enthralling in 3d. details only hinted at in 2d (even on a 4k tv) are clearly distinguished. every leaf on the trees, every blade of grass are richly and painstakingly enumerated. all wrapped up with a bow of marvelous editing, quickly and smoothly moving through scenes that amaze and delight. it is all one can do, at the heart-warmed and satisfying conclusion, to resist the urge to play it again. if you love good 3d and enjoy ...

    Poor definition in 3d

    The movie itself isn't "bad" but it's also nothing special. I purchased it simply for the 3d as it's an inexpensive title. Whatever they did to dumb it down definition wise ruined it for me. I kept thinking it was my eyes or settings needed tweaked but when I asked everyone in the room if it looked funny to them everyone said it didn't look very sharp. I tweaked and played with all settings and just couldn't get it to look good. It's the only 3d movie I own that does this. If you are looking for a crisp picture look elsewhere. The 3d was average.
