  • Seems to have issues

A lot of reviews on Newegg point to this drive failing at 3 years or so. Which even when they were new, right at the end of the manufacturer warranty. Mine failed after using DD to clone a Drive to the SSD. It copied fine. Took apart laptop and replaced HDD with SSD. It never worked again. I followed ESD rules and grounded myself to my fridge

  • I see the huge difference in speed compared to my old 7200rpm

Thought i'd have to return this to the seller, but no... It was getting detected/undetected in bios and finally found the way to get it to work is to update the FIRMWARE TO 1.35 (for vertex 2 series) After updating to firmware v1.35 its always detected @ bios and started formatting....Install XP and USING IT NOW Just to save you guys time AT bios set the AHCI for sata then update to the lastest firmware then you can use IDE(enhanced) or keep AHCI mode to install fresh OSs (XP/Vista/7)

  • So far so good we will see over time.

Needed to replace a drive on a Mac Pro. Had a problem with the hard drive. We will see if this will fix the problem.
