Probably the best Steven Seagal movie ever. He is on the battleship U.S.S. Missouri. He is serving as a cook. He was a Navy Seal officer who was blamed for a mission gone wrong in Panama, and subsequently stayed on as a cook to serve out his time until retirement. The captain of the ship is his friend and arranged the position for him. Having just been awarded a Presidential Citation, the ship is now headed for San Francisco and decommissioning. All major ordinance has already been removed, and the only thing remaining is shells for the 16 inch guns and the Cruise and Tomahawk missiles. The Executive Offices, Cdr. Krill, hates Ryback (Seagal) and is determined to make life hard for him. He has planned a hijacking and takeover of the ship along with a misguided ex-CIA operative played by Tommy Lee Jones. Under the disguise of a party for the captain, he plans to land a helicopter with a guerrilla force on board. Along with this group is a Playboy Bunny, Jordan Tate, who is supposed to jump out of a cake for the captain. She knows nothing about the hijacking. Cdr. Krill has Ryback locked in a meat locker under guard when he won't go along with the "So Called" surprise without the captain's permission. The helicopter lands and the takeover begins, and all of the ships crew is locked into the forecastle, and the captain is murdered. Their goal is to steal the atomic cruise weapons and sell them for billions. They have a submarine that is to rendezvous with them to make their escape. In typical Seagal style he finds the Playboy Bunny who is asleep from nausea medicine, (Great tits), and reluctantly has to take her along with him as he single-handedly begins to take back the ship. After killing several of the terrorists, he locates a number of men locked in a room and frees them. Now they all start to help retake the ship, but only Seagal is fighting anybody. With guns, hand grenades, cans of paint thinner, home-made bombs, and you name-it, he always wins every fight and always seems to get away safely. He manages to wipe out practically all of the bad guys, and when the missiles are all loaded on the sub and they shove off, he even manages to fire those great big 16-inch cannons at them and sink the sub. Tommy Lee Jones is the nut case in charge of this plan and he is still aboard. He fires two nuclear cruise missiles at Hawaii, and in just a few seconds from armageddon, Ryback manages to kill him and transmit the destruct code to blow them up. He single-handedly won the war. A little too much like James Bond to be believable, but still an enjoyable film.Read full review

love it, one of my favorite all time classic movies, I actually wanted a dvd but happy with vhs they last longer and won't get damaged as easy.. I want to get as many of his older movies, dvd or vhs good movie!
Acion packed, good story, navy ships, fight scenes. I really enjoyed some of the stone cold lines when the bad guys try to take over the ship. The Casey Ryback scenes are funny and cool because the badass guys are taken over by the good guys and that's it for them. THE actors are good.
Great action flick. Seagal at his best. A must see for any Seagal fan! Even non-fans will be excited about this one. Gary Busey is also great in this one!
Great movie wonderful cast and lot of action. The. setting is great and maybe more real by the sailors that were used in the making of this film.
