1100 Viking Sewing Machine
I decided I wanted a Viking because they have such a good history of durability. The stitching always has the right tension, probably because it is automatically set when you set it for the proper weight of fabric you are using. I always had problems with this on my other machines because I had to manually adjust the upper and bobbin threads to adjust it to light-weight, medium and heavy fabrics. I love the feature that sets the needle in the up position at the end of your stitching. This has saved me a lot of time and effort. The cassettes are a snap to change. I would like to have a better-looking embroidery for the letters. They have few stitches and the connections between the letters is way off with stitches too high between the letters.I decided I wanted a Viking because they have such a good history of durability. Surprisingly good! It was well worth the money spent.
It is exactly what I need for quick sewing jobs. I figured it would do an "acceptable" job, but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the stitching. It's nothing fancy, but strong and easy to use. I also like the fact that I can use the foot pedal or the "on/off" switch for quick projects. It was well worth the money spent!
