Product Information

As the title implies, this second expansion pack for Age of Empires III introduces Asian civilizations. The three new campaigns include 15th century China, 16th century Japan and 19th century India. Along with the unique units each civilization brings, villagers can now gather a resource called Export that is used to forge alliances and learn new technologies. Each civilization can also now build wonders -- such as the Great Buddha and the Confucian Academy -- that provide bonuses. Four more multiplayer modes of play have been added as well: Regicide, King of the Hill, Treaty and Treaty -- No Blockade.

Love it!
I have played age of empires since the original game. Aoe 3 TAD is a wonderful new addition to a successful and fun series. Great single player campaigns and awesome multiplayer, endless replay value.

Always fun
I installed this game on my XP machine, but it would freeze every time I tried to update or save a game. This is major/common problem with this game and a patch was never released for this issue. The game was unplayable in XP, unless you played without ever saving. I reinstalled the main game and this expansion on my Vista computer, and even though I got compatibility warnings the game works great with no issues! Weird! One of the best strategy games out there
This game is great, it really is one of the best real time strategy games of all time. There are a lot of great games out there with better graphics, and perhaps more feature. However, this game has great graphics, especially for its time, has many customization options for those that like to build levels, and is a great addition to the original AOE 3 game. If you have yet to buy this game, you should get it, play it, and petition for Microsoft to make a newer version of this game, because the idea of pay to win (like the newer AOE Free to play game that now has been taken offline because of its lack of success) is not a good one. Awesome expansion pack for Age of Empires III
FOr anyone who is a fan of the Age of Empires game, this is a very worthwhile expansion pack. Great new Asian civilizations and enhancements to both the base game civilizations and the War Chiefs Civilizations if you have that expansion pack also. I am not usually a big fan of most Microsoft software, but this game is an exception. Ensemble Studios is the best RTS company out there in my opinion. Make sure that you do the do the game updates after you install. With this version it is a simple in game option under the help menu. A lot less painful than the old way of patching the game when updates were required. Only complaint is during multiplayer gaming the game sometimes locks up when there is too much action on the screen at one time. Has only happened twice during 50 + hours of ... Now all you can get is the whole series on one disc.
