    I Have the Power! EGO 5.0 Battery

    This 5 mAh battery replaced the 2.5 unit for several EGO handheld tools (blower/string trimmer). It is able to power either tool for much longer but the price is that it weighs almost twice as much - near to the limit to what I am able to carry for the duration of the job. The 7.5mAh battery would really not be suitable for anything but a tool like a lawn mower - unless you're the Hulk. It is a great product at an even better price. Like all batteries, they don't last forever. Replacement cost is important and this was the best I've found.

    FAKE! NOT "Genuine EGO Battery." No Power! No Quality!

    This is NOT an actual genuine EGO battery. The truth is that it is a cheap knock-off battery that is nowhere near as strong as the original. My EGO lawnmower came with a 10ah battery and charges up complete in two hours and lasts 80 - 90 minutes of constant mowing. This "wanna-be" fake battery cost me $258 and takes overnight to charge and then only lasts about 15-20 minutes while mowing. The say it is a 12ah battery, but it is more like a 4ah battery. It also gets very hot when using it and it has to cool down before it can be recharged. Spend the extra money and buy the real thing. The ad says "12.0Ah For Genuine EGO BA5600T Power+ 56V 10Ah POWER Lithium-Ion Battery 56 Volt." You see the play on words there? They didn't lie, exactly. They didn't say that it IS a "genuine" EGO battery. ...

    A worthy upgrade to the original 5.0 Ah battery. I've owned 2ea of the 5.0 Ah batteries—one finally gave up and I bought this upgraded version with the "fuel guage"—which simply means that when you press the round indicator button on the battery, you can see how many bars of energy are left in the battery without connecting it to the charging station. It's actually very useful. The battery is otherwise the same. I was told by EGO that there are some efficiencies built into this latest battery that make it last a bit longer. It does seem to have extra life compared to my other 5.0 Ah, but that may just be that it's newer (or perhaps the new tech really does deliver more life). A great battery for my EGO mower, blower and chainsaw.

    Overpriced but gets the job done.

    The battery takes about 40 minutes to fully charge & was then you're able to mow for about 45 minutes. It is very heat sensitive so if you live in the south, you have to mow early in the morning when the grass is wet. The battery is overpriced for the length of time you get to use it before it needs to be replaced. It comes with a 3-year warranty and my first two batteries never lasted past 3 years and 3 months. Hopefully I'll have better luck with this one.

    Impressive Battery

    Great battery. Have never been able to do the whole yard on the Ego 7.5AH, but was able to knock out the entire yard with this 5.0AH. Not sure why, but this battery works great. Very impressed.
