    Triumph Vitesse Ptarting

    I had a high torque starter motor fitted to my Vitesse and it was OK. I then fitted an electronic fuel injection system, but it was very difficult to start; it would only go if the battery was on charge and then not always. After fitting a bigger battery and higher gauge wiring, nothing improved the situation. Once I fitted this starter motor, it is a different car; it spins over much faster and starts first time, every time. The starter motor is quite small and fits with a Phoenix 6-3-1 exhaust manifold. The only negative is that with the Vitesse/GT6/TR6 etc, the wiring terminal is at the bottom of the motor. It is easy to get at, but it would be nice to have it on top.
