    powerful blender

    These are powerful blenders,most that you buy in the stores are around 4 to 5 hundred watts, these are over double that . large pitcher, multi blades make short work of whatever you are blending but also make it difficult to fill with large chunks do to the blades all the way up the center of the pitcher. Just need to make pieces smaller. Would be nice if it had interchangeable blades.1 tall and 1 short. Overall tho a great blender.

    One little problem

    The thing is a super blender BUT the safety mechanism that is built in has to be defeated for it to operate at all. The lid has a pin that has to properly depress a plunger that is supposed to operate a switch that enables the motor to run. It almost never works. I have to defeat this safety feature 99% of the time. I have two of them with multiple lids. No combination yields satisfactory results.

    Good product has a couple of small design problems.

    We have owned one of these blenders for about 3 years. It is very powerful. And does a good job. There are 2 small complaints I would have. One is that the machine is very tall so fitting it under an upper cabinet allows very little extra space. And second, the lid and blade are difficult to clean. The lid has lots of small crevices that collect food particles. The blade is very sharp and could easily cut someone in the cleaning process. Don't drop the pieces on a hard surface. I chipped the pitcher on one corner and broke the flap off of the lid. I can still use the pitcher but the pour spout must be covered or foods splash out all over the place. With care and awareness of these minor problems I would buy another one and I would recommend it to a friend with some cautions.

    An EXcellent blender!

    This is a fabulous blender! Sooooo easy to clean and really powerful. I haven't had a chance yet to try it for anything except my green smoothies, which involves pulverizing raw veggies and frozen fruit and veggies, and it is exceptional at turning that conglomeration into an ultra- smooth drink. My only disappointment in the device so far is completely MY problem and not related to the manufacturing. I did not notice how LARGE the container is before purchasing! I have a very small kitchen and really don't need a blender quite this large. This blender could probably make margaritas for an entire clan in one container. The base is nice and compact though. So, so far I say the previous reviews of this particular blender are right on. It is really a good one!

    Ninja 1000 watt Professional Blender

    Good at turning ice cubes into snow for snow cones. Poor at blending blackberries leaving all the seeds whole in smoothies. Need a more expensive Blendtec or Glantop Blender that runs at 40,000+rpm to liquefy blackberry seeds.
