The D-Link DI-624-RF router is a 108 Mbps wireless router with features that make it a good choice to set up a home wired or wireless network or even a small office network. The highlight that sets this D-Link wireless router apart from similar products that use Wireless G technology is that its Wi-Fi signal range reaches up to 328 feet (100 meters) indoors and up to 1,312 feet (400 meters) when it operates outdoors. Such signal reach requires advanced security settings to prevent intruders from gaining access to the network, and the user of the D-Link DI-624-RF router can take advantage of 64-bit or 128-bit WEP, WPA, or WPA-PSK security for network encryption. Advanced firewall features of this D-Link wireless router include MAC, IP, and URL filtering, domain blocking, and NAT with VPN pass-through. The Ethernet cables used to connect devices to any of the four built-in switch ports can be periodically tested with a built-in utility of this D-Link wireless router, which performs detection and troubleshooting of physical cable problems. The dimensions of this wireless router are 1.38 inches by 4.6 inches by 7.5 inches, and it weighs 0.66 lbs.
