    Boaring book

I bought this to see what all the hype was about JD and this book that so many people worship. It was one of those kings new cloths things. Save your money. If you are really curious just do sparks notes and you will have all the time you wasted on this POS book still left in your life. If your a loser outsider who thinks you are a loser because of the rest of the world then this book may be the the thing you need to submerge yourself with. Remember there is a reason many murderers have had this book in their pocket when committing murder.

  • Awful!

main Character is a jerk, finds fault in all people, no common sense. An overrated book, I hope Salinger's other writings are better. President Clinton said it was his favorite book.. HMMM?

  • Acquired Taste.

A very depressed young man with no direction and a foul mouth leads us page by page wondering if anything is actually going to happen other than hear his degressing thoughts. The kids an absolute mess and hates the world and somehow gets to be the center of a so called "masterpiece" from an author that never wrote another book with such considerable mention. Every other word is goddam this and goddam that. God Damn this book.

  • Allie's Basball Mitt

This novel is a wonderful tale of love and lost youth in the backdrop of New York during the holiday season. Holden Caulfield's personality doesn't fail him as he is riding around the city in taxis and drinking at the tender age of his teens. From getting expelled from boarding school to ice skating with his girly friend to watching the carousel in the rain, the journey that Catcher in the Rye entrances is nonetheless one of a kind and truly entertaining. A classic that is read by millions.
