Solid, durable and very useable mirror with one un-fatal drawback.

This is a stable and durable bicycle mirror. It fits into the end the the handlebars, so of course, it is best suited to straight handlebars. Most of the mirrors I have used are either quite fragile, do not retain their position very well, or shakes so badly that the reflection is just a blur. This mirror is excellent on all of these accounts. The only drawback is that the mirror ends up being a bit lower down than most people would prefer, so one has to look quite far down from your view of the road to see it.

    Handy Bike Mirror

Handy mirror to check following road traffic. Folds back, or easily removed when transporting bike. Both rubber handlebar inserts either too big or too small for my bike, but problem easily solved with a couple wraps of electrical tape on the smaller insert.

  • 3rd Eye Mirror is a well functioning product.Good disign.

Had to add washer to back of smaller rubber inside mounting bushing in order to make it a stable fit inside of standard handle bars. This took some time, many small washers would not fit well. It works fairly well. Mirror is real glass, so it could break if the bike is dropped on that side. I am happy with the mounting , design, quality, size, and functionality of this product. Not necessarily inexpensive.

  • Potholes and Rearviews

Great mirror for the money. Real glass convex mirror gives a clear image of what's coming up behind you. Perfect size, big enough to show detail but not so big as to detract from the bike's lines. Cat's Eye makes a sturdy, well designed, glass handlebar mirror but the image is too small to catch details with a casual glance. I ride the streets of New Orleans with some of the bumpiest asphalt in North America and the mirror does not slip or bounce if tightened correctly. I will say that my handlebars are fairly straight, almost perpendicular to the frame. Not sure if adjusting the mirror more radically for bars pointing backwards would affect the stability. This mirror fits my needs perfectly.

  • Replace bolt to hold firmly

The aluminum bolt that holds the mirror is too weak. Plan on replacing it with something that will hold the mirror firmly in position and not go out of alignment with every bump you hit.
