Anker powered hub Macbook Linux or OSX
The documentation clearly states not to mix usb 1, 2 and 3 together, with that limitation in mind, I bought the 36W powered hub to run a fast SSD drive and a few spinning hard drives at the same time. I specifically bought Anker as I have a 2015 MacBook Pro and Anker's hardware is well supported by Apple's hardware. The Anker 36W powered hub works perfectly well for what I need, running a couple of drives at the same time. Not that it should matter but I am running Debian Linux. Works well as intended, plugged a no powered hub into the qc port and seems to provide ample power for it's 5 ports as well, haven't filled them all up with high drain things but there's 2 usb hdd enclosures plugged into the second hub which works fine plus another smaller device or two also working fine..everything is plugged into a raspberry pi which the anker has no issues with...love it, been wanting one for awhile and anker was one of my go-to brands for a hub.Works well as intended, plugged a no powered hub into the qc port and seems to provide ample power for it's 5 ports as well, haven't filled them all up with high drain things but there's 2 usb hdd enclosures plugged into the second hub which works fine plus another smaller device or two also working fine..everything is plugged into a raspberry pi which the anker has no issues with...love it, been wanting one for awhile and anker was one of my go-to brands for a hub.

I'm using this in my Dental office, I can use this as a port for the x-ray sensor without having to find a free port on the tower. The other ports were not good quality and would eventually stop working, since this one has its own power source the sensor and the intr-oral camera won't burn it out
