I have only glanced through it, what little I have read appears to be helpful for home medical treatment. For serious health problems I suggest seeing a professional medical provider, then it YOU desire additional information about medical remedies to go the book.

I am a student learning about natural health and purchased the book on May 9, 2006 at a very resonable price. The Encyclopedia of Natural Medicne has been a great source of information. This book has recommendations for every condition from acne to varicose veins. The encyclopedia is 947 pages and is a medium size book, not heavy at all, very easy to use, the print is a great size and this is an easy read. At the end of each topic,the encyclopedia gives a quick review, therapeutic consideration and a treatment summary. I really do not have any dislikes about the encyclopedia thus far and would definitely recommended it to anyone who is interested in or who is practicing natural medicine. I have many books on the topic of natural medicine and this is yet another great source to add to ... I used to live in Seattle which was the home of Bastyr University where the authors taught. I went for many years thinking that natural medicine was just a "hoax". Then one day, I happened across this book and literally, my life was changed. The book is organized alphabetically by condition, so it's very easy to find things. I looked up asthma as several of my children has asthma. I learned several things that I didn't know and when I implemented them, they worked. I suffer from migraines and have for 30 years. I thought I knew everything about migraines. I read everything I can get my hands on. This book recommended something new: magnesium, riboflavin and feverfew. I tried them and except for the feverfew which upset my stomach, the magnesium and riboflavin seemed to lessen the ...
