    Very Noisy Garbage Disposal

    Twenty years ago, I purchased the Waste King 9980, 1.0 HP Pro Garbage Disposal. I never had a problem with the noise or it's performance. I have just finished remodeling my kitchen and decided at the same time to change the disposaI. I am a traumatized senior citizen because the new disposal is excessively loud and makes a horrible grinding noise. I have tried everything as per my contractor to resolve the problem with no success. How can I get a refund for this noisy, defective garbage disposal?

    WOW - Waste-King Once-again-is Wonderful

    received it in a double box...pulled out my old unit...followed the directions and installation was easy and it went right in...removed the cord and hardwired it into my house wiring.....connected all the under sink pipes...had to trim the down pipe....had a small water leak because I didn't tighten the downpipe tight enough......turned it on and it was pretty quiet....then as I am running water into it and checking it out it seems to get quieter....now when I turn it on I get a smile on my face....:) Great job - American Made!!! GOUSA!

    Powerful and quiet

    The installlation was easy there was one problem with the seal of the rubber ring not fully sealing on the exit drain. The flange is suppose to sqeeze it tight against the port but did not. I used plumbers putty in addition to the gasket and it sealed fine. The disposal is powerful quite and grind up everything with no problem.
