    It was worth the long wait

    I like many waited a very long time for the fourth installment to arrive on book shelves. (okay, it was only five years, short compared to the next book, but I was 23) I actually purchased it in hardcover, as a broke 23 year old, this was a big purchase. I was not disappointed. I loved traveling backwards down the great mother river with Ayla and Jondalar, meeting those we came to like one his travels down river. I have since purchased the whole series in hard cover and have read them over and over. This is one of my favorite series. The passion and heat of this couple still steams my glasses as I read.

    I was familiar with the story before I bought it, and I love the whole Earth's Children series with the possible exception of the 6th book.
