    Compared to the FX 4100 it's amazing

    Bought this to help my older build catch up without redoing the entire system. Works very well and now I meet the minimum system requirements for many of today's PC titles. The PC game Assassins Creed Syndicate use to have trouble on the carriage scenes causing the game to freeze and stutter but after updating to this processor that issue completely stopped. The only down side I've found so far is that the 6300 didn't overclock as well as the 4100 could. Reduced core speed from 4.0ghz to 3.8ghz and system stabilized. The 4100 could reach a top core speed of 4.2ghz without crashing. The 6300 would just cut the system off randomly when overclocked to 4.0ghz. Other than that I hope to get years of use out of this processor. Highly recommended..

    Take more care.....

    Taking over 3 days to send was one thing but the CPU came in between to white boards with rubber band holding it. Some rubber bands were the thick type. You know the ones that are pretty strong. The boards had the CPU impression into them one was starting to bend. As a result the CPU had bent pins. Luckily there were only a few I had to straighten amd was able to that without breaking any pins. Plus it came in a manilla bubble lined envelope. During shipping if anything with good enough weight being placed on top could have seriously damaged the CPU. Luckily this time only a few pins were bent.

    Great Performance for Price

    Performs great for my needs. I have always been a AMD user since I can't justify spending almost double the price for Intel products. For this build project I combined this CPU with an ASUS 970 Pro/Aura mobo, 16GB Kingston HypeX 1866MHz Ram, and a Samsung 850 Evo 500GB solid state drive. I mostly use this system for processing videos. Works great. Highly recommend if you want performance for a great price.

    Great chip that runs Photoshop 2021 and more

    I have had this AMD FX 6300 chip in one of my work computers for years and have been more then happy with it, but my home desktop was running an older chip that would not rund the just upgraded Photoshop 2021. I needed a chip that had Direct X 12 and and SSE 4.2. I didn't want to spend $500 or more on a brand new set up, so I went looking for this chip and it works great. For what I do, Phoptshop and Lightroom with RAW files in the 30-35 mb range, this chip, with just 16gb of ram works great.
