    It was packed a little carelessly. The processor was only half on the supporting foam, had to straighten a few pins. I would suggest, next time put a bit of tape around so it can not move.

    This AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition CPU shipped quickly and arrived early. I installed it, and it worked right away. Overclocked it to 3.6GH and ran Cinebench. It scored 1890 and peaked at 66.5C on the thermals with no crashes. Not bad for this older quad core. With that said, I am quite happy with my purchase.

    The original problem was no +12 volts. Replacing the power supply fixed that problem, but there was still no Power-On-Self-Test, and no way to get to the BIOS. Since the AMD CPU is directly powered by +12 volts, I assumed that the CPU was bad. Replacing the CPU didn't fix it. (However, after the motherboard was replaced later, the new CPU runs fine.)

    Purchased as a backup in case I need one. I own one and use it every day in my computer in a MSI FXA 890-GD 70 mobo. This chip runs great and is very stable. Delivery was great.
