    KYB Excel-G shocks look to be better constructed.

    The KYB Excel-G shocks were easy to install and seems like it restored my van's ride back to normal. I had previously bought and installed a major name brand shock only to have them fail in about 4 years. The KYBs look obviously better made. Heavier duty steel.

    KYB Shocks for Honda Odyssey

    These are great replacement shocks for your Honda. There are not many quality brand replacements that fit the Odyssey. KYBs are made in Japan. OEM have better dampening I think, maybe due to them being oil filled rather than gas...but the KYB is close. The KYBs are one quarter the price...$100 for a pair vs $400+ for the Hondas.

    Nothing to compare these with

    Original shocks were leaking so replaced them with these KYBs. The ride is not as smooth as I wish it was, but as long as they keep me going safely down the road, that's the main thing.

    It's all about HANDLING!

    I installed a pair of these shocks on the rear of our '10 Odyssey, and was thrilled with the handling improvement! The Odyssey tends to oversteer, and I have fought that with different tires and various inflation schemes; some helped, but the KYB shocks bought about a fully neutral handling, neither understeer nor oversteer. Fantastic! Since the Odyssey is heavy in the rear, and is front wheel drive, it can be tricky; KYB changed it completely for the better!
