The Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 is a 3.5-inch disk that offers efficient, ergonomic design. Compatible with PC desktop systems, this 80 GB internal hard drive measures 1.03 x 4.0 x 5.78-inch and weighs a mere 1.4 lbs. The Seagate hard drive has a spindle speed of 7200 RPM, delivering fast performance and access time. This durable internal hard drive also features Seagate’s Sound Barrier Technology for reduced acoustics and quiet operation. The Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 uses a Serial ATA interface with an 8 MB buffer size for a smooth transition between the drive and other computer systems. Furthermore, it has a seek time of 8.5 ms that allows for rapid data location, and it sports a 3D Defense System for competent and enhanced data reliability. Hot Swap capabilities allow users to switch the Seagate hard drive out of the computer without having to shut down the system. With an 80 GB storage density, the Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 offers ample space that meets user’s data storage needs.

    Right product for the right job.

    Needed an inexpensive drive to replace one that went bad. Good size drive for the money. It is not as quiet as other drives, but fit the need well.

    I Love The speed this HD operates at. It was simple to install and it absolutly flew through the windows installation. The Barracuda is an excellent choice in hard drives

    New Server Hard Drives

    I rebuilt our server, increasing ram, added a faster processor and new hard drives. These SATA drives are in a Raid 0 configuration and seem to be performing very well.
