    Both History and Culture

    Couldn’t put it down. What is fascinating is the cultural detail along with the historical facts. The Historian/Author is Lakota by birth and has an insider view of his subject. It reads like a novel but is based on Historical events. This is written as a person who is steeped in the cultural and has an almost Cultural Anthropology perspective along with History. Highly recommended.
