Product Information

The Wheel of Time (R) is a PBS Great American Read Selection Now in development for TV Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time(R) by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow. Unbeknownst to Rand, Perrin has made his own truce with the Seanchan. It is a deal made with the Dark One, in his eyes, but he will do whatever is needed to rescue his wife, Faile, and destroy the Shaido who captured her. Among the Shaido, Faile works to free herself while hiding a secret that might give her her freedom or cause her destruction. And at a town called Malden, the Two Rivers longbow will be matched against Shaido spears. Fleeing Ebou Dar through Seanchan-controlled Altara with the kidnapped Daughter of the Nine Moons, Mat attempts to court the woman to whom he is half-married, knowing that she will complete that ceremony eventually. But Tuon coolly leads him on a merry chase as he learns that even a gift can have deep significance among the Seanchan Blood and what he thinks he knows of women is not enough to save him. In Caemlyn, Elayne fights to gain the Lion Throne while trying to avert what seems a certain civil war should she win the crown... In the White Tower, Egwene struggles to undermine the sisters loyal to Elaida from within... TV series update: "Sony will produce along with Red Eagle Entertainment and Radar Pictures. Classic tale of Good vs Evil Fantasy

This is an amazing series it’s so good this is the second time i am reading it. The only thing I don’t like is that it goes in to many directions but aside from that it is the epic tale of good vs evil. Many great characters and story lines. Would def recommend to anyone who is into fantasy lit.

  • Jordan's last, completely his own

This may be Robert Jordan's last book (written solely by himself) and maybe his best of the Wheel of Time series. His intricate details of life in this sci-fi fantasy, envelope you into another space and time. Although Book 12, A Memory of Light, will be coming in an epic series, the first being slated for November 2009, his writing will span decades and encourage new writers to push themselves in their art. I was first introduced to The Wheel of Time 20 plus years ago. And, to this day, enjoy his writing as I did the first time. I must admit, however, it takes a little reading to get back into the swing of life in Edmond's Field and it's encompassing surroundings. Usually two or three chapters in, I'm hooked. But, I think Jordan has an inkling of an idea his world is complex and the ...

  • Best of the series

I'm not an expert by any means but 2 years ago, I started reading the Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series and got hooked. While books 8-10 were inching closer to the end of the story, this book was by far the best I've read in the entire series. That's probably due to the best battles since the Shadowspawn descended on Two Rivers. Looking forward to the continuation of the story by different authors. Though you can probably start with any book in the series to get a taste, start with book one and search e-bay for some of the best prices on all 11 titles. I've had no problems with the quality of any of the purchases. A great story and I just have to wonder...how it will end???

  • Good reading
