    Sony A Mount 18n 70mm lens - incredible value for the money BUT ...

    It is what it is ie an old lens that at f8 produces reasonably good pictures. Value for money it certainly is which means that anyone with an A mount camera can have access to 18-70mm focal lengths at a ridiculously low price. The biggest downside is that what is supposed to be the focus control ring is designed to barely move 1/4 of an inch so control is a bit of a mis noma BUT I knew all about this from the description when I bought it. Overall am I pleased with my purchase? …. Yes I am.

    An excellent beginners lens

    I bought this as a replacement to the standard 18-55mm lens. It works absolutely faultlessly with very good quality pictures.its light and balanced so no straining when taking pictures. If I have one downside it's the fact it has a rather plasticky feel but it should not detract as to what is an ideal lens for beginning photography
