    Holiday tray crowd pleasers

    I have had the priviledge of making christmas cookies from this book for 20 years. The variety of cookie recipes in this book are sure to please everyone from the shaped, cutout, drop, bar, and specialty cookie lover. Each food editor from BH&G submitted their favorite recipe 'editor's pick'. The book is full of pictures detailing the recipe selection. My favorite sugar cookie recipe is the 'Grandma's Old fashioned Sugar Cookie'. These soft cake like cookies have a hint of nutmeg, lemon, and vanilla. Chocolate chip pecan mounds have always been a big crowd pleaser! They are a fancy take on the mundane choc. chip cookie that present so well and are little chocolately buttery nuggets. Mini cheesecakes can be made with a variety of fillings all with recipes provided. Buried cherry ...

    Better Homes and Gardens Cookies for Christmas

    I have used this wonderful cookie book since 1985. I owned a small bake shop for years and used the cookie recipes in this book almost exclusively. Every recipe is a winner, try them all. There is such a varied selection and they all look wonderful together on cookie platters. I now run a pet rescue and my first book just met an unhappy ending....I just had to purchase another copy. I would not hesitate to purchase other copies for gifts. This book is the best. Jennifer at Gingerbread Farm.
