All of the problems are challenging and with the supplemental comprehensive CD-ROM for teachers, it also provides solutions to all problems, PowerPoint presentations, and good concept questions with illustrations. It can be used for an introductory college physics course, or with judicious filtering, it can also be used for an honors physics course in high school. The student will be well-prepared for the AP Physics exam if he has used this book.The Giancoli Physics is one of the standards for AP Physics. I bought this textbook for a college-level physics course. It is an excellent book because the explanations and presentation of concepts are very clear and understandable. Our curriculum is supplemented with an online homework course that corresponds to the textbook, which is also very helpful in learning physics (masteringphysics.com). The only thing I dislike about this book is that it is an algebra-based physics book, NOT a calculus-based one. Buy a different book if you want to have calculus incorporated into your understanding of physics.I bought this textbook for a college-level physics course. I Love International Edition
I love it because it saved me about $100. For the student who studies full-time and works part-time it's good money! I wish I can always have an opportunity to choose between Original edition and International edition. That is a great deal for students who are looking for the ways to save their money!
