    Compelling but sad too!

    Read this in conjunction with the HBO series My Brilliant Friend. Found it be compelling but also disturbing because the really brilliant child could not go beyond the fourth grade while her Brilliant Friend would eventually go onto University. Read the book in a couple of nights and ordered book 2 and 3 because it was so good!
