Many of his followers are hoping to take the mark right in his presence & are flocking to Jerusalem. Some interesting things occur on the temple mount. In this book God pours out His first Bowl Judgement upon those that have taken the mark of the beast. Meanwhile the chosen ones are fleeing into the wilderness as the final battle at Armageddon is prepared. The tribulation force is doing all they can to help. Good suspense & action. Desecration, the eighth in a series of eleven by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. Desecration is the story of the AntiChrist taking the Throne and the continuing drama of those Left Behind. You will find it a remarkable storyline and an easy read. This book is a remarkable telling of the Mark of the Beast which many fear is not far away. After reading the third book in the series my Opinion is that the series has gotten better with each new book. You won't be able to put it down and you will be reaching for book # 9 in the series as fast as you finish the last page of book #8. The best Prophecy based fiction I have ever read. The Left Behind Series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins
The Left Behind Series are excellent reading. They are real page turners, and it is hard to put them down. I am reading the series for the second time, and am still spellbound. The books are taken from Bible prophecy found in the books of Ezekiel and Daniel in the Old Testament, and Revelation and some in Matthew in the New Testament. Dr LaHaye has done extensive Biblical research into Biblical prophecy, and Jerry Jenkins has woven these truths into a spellbinding set of books on how this prophecy may, or possibly could, play out some time in the future, when the Church is taken from the world in an event called the "rapture", and the judgments of the "70th week" of Daniel chapter 9, and those spelled out in the book of Revelation are poured out on the earth. Occurs about 3 and 1/2 years into the Tribulation. This means our heroes are entering the time of the Great Tribulation. Nicholae has been killed and resurrected and named himself god. This starts the time of the Mark of the Beast. The Tribulation Force is still going strong despite having lost some critical members. Some new faces are introduced and one team member is viscously murdered. Jesus opens the first seal and the bearers of the Mark of the Beast are afflicted with boils that are untreatable incapaciting the GC forces. Micah, an old chacter who has been renamed by God, preaches at the Temple Mount. Nicholae desecrates the Temple and the Jews are outraged. Many flee to head to Petra, the promised place where the Jews will be safe until the Glorious Appearing of the Lord. ... Occurs about 3 and 1/2 years into the Tribulation. Micah presents many miracles, including being shot at point blank range and surviving. The force sent by Nicholae to destroy Petra fails gloriously with a miracles from God. The second seal is opened and the sea turns to blood and all marine animals are killed. Many are stranded in the seas with no hope of rescue. At the end of the book Nicholae has sent his reaming air force to destroy Petra, we will not find out what happens till the next book. A real page turner - all the more so made because this book is based on Biblical prophesy.

Spiritually Moving!
The Left Behind series of books is amazing. I have read from The Rapture thru Desecration. It has touched places in my heart and has made me really think about my spirituality. Am I a good christian? Honestly, not as good as I should be. I am selfish in wanting my own way. I am learning, through these books, that I only need to give glory to God and to read and learn of Him by reading my Bible. Thank you Jerry B Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. Cannot wait to find the rest of them so I can read some more!The Left Behind series of books is amazing. I have read from The Rapture thru Desecration.
