About this product

Product Information

Even for Pixar, this might be a first: an animated film that contains not only a fully realized world as photorealistic as it is full of wonder, but also the Gargantuan themes and visuals of 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, the stripped-down sad-clown pathos found in classic Buster Keaton comedies, and one of the most moving and simply unique love stories in a long time. Director Andrew Stanton kicked up the visual acuity of an already-stellar Pixar Animation Studios in 2003 with a reflective, refractive, color-shimmery realization of the oceanic world of FINDING NEMO, which genuinely felt as though it spanned the entire earth. With WALL-E, Stanton replaces an apprehensively fishy estranged journeyer with a love-struck and curious robotic one, allowing the quest for eternal love to expand from a desolate, dust-covered, palpably polluted future Earth and into an even more mysterious abyss: the far reaches of outer space. With virtually no dialogue, WALL-E's neatly contained vaudevillian first act eerily and tragically introduces the robot of the title as the last living thing on Earth (aside from a little cockroach friend) amidst dilapidated skyscrapers and equally tall compacted trash heaps. WALL-E has developed a tender and inquisitive personality doing what he was built to do day in and day out for the past 700 years--allocate and dispose of human waste--simply because no one turned him off when the human race left the hostile polluted planet. When the directive-oriented Eve robot comes crashing into his life from above, WALL-E immediately becomes infatuated with her, and is willing to follow her to back into dangerous outer space, where two robots gliding through the ether, dancing via fire-extinguisher propulsion, are among the many memorable and grandly romantic moments of an expansively beautiful, deceptively simple story.

    Bringing back my favorite movie

Completely love it. Was well packaged and shipping was quick. Miss watching this movie. Thanks for accepting my offer. More than a great deal for the three DVDs. Thanks again

  • Top critical review

Movie is the most endearing love story.

Love Pixar's visual interpretation of a love story, but couldn't they have put it in a plastic jewel case? As much money as Disney makes off their videos, you'd think they would put the three dvds in a better case. Just saying...

  • PIXAR... Pics-R-GREAT!

It has been said that when it comes to making motion pictures, "If it's NOT on the Page... It's NOT on The Screen!" This parable applies in particular when it comes to "SEE-ESS" (CS) or just plain "Cartoon Storytelling". Like the color frames of a comic book, most of the really good movies, films and shorts involving non-stop motion cartooning allows for all of the participants in this process to historically work at a slower, more thoughtful and often more creative and enjoyable outcome. This is the result of the unlimited possibilities offered when storyboarding the scenes while groups of writers and animators squash their asses into Bean Bag Chairs and just let their minds and imaginations the freedom to create these visions for us all to enjoy, Regardless of how powerful and fast ...

  • Disney and Pixar have done it again!

Since 1995, the Disney and Pixar studios have collaborated together to create many classic film masterpieces that have taken us to worlds that we never could have ever imagined. Starting with the first "Toy Story" movie, we have been treated to some great cinematic moments that are a lot of fun. The 2008 motion picture "Wall*E" is yet another milestone in animation. Set in a futuristic world, the film tells about a lonely little robot called Wall-E, who spends his days cleaning up endless, massive amounts of debris scattered and littered about on Earth. Until one day, everything changes when he meets a sleek female robot named Eve. Catching a ride on her spaceship, Wall-E soon discovers an entirely new series of adventures, as he and Eve attempt to get a single species of plant life on ...

  • Best Pixar film for children!

WALL.E has fantastic visual displays and a wonderful story that not only shows how love can grow quickly for some and over time for others but also a message for the future adults and their wasteful ways. Something about the lack of conversation captures the attention of even the smallest children and keeps them entertained throughout. The story if E.V.E and WALL.E is not only beautiful but simple and pure. The story of the humans and what they did to the earth acts as a lesson to us all to recycle everything we can and protect our world for the generations to come. I love this movie and so does my child. Two enthusiastic thumbs up and both toes as well!!
