    Excellent book--perfect for the design student

    I purchased this book for a class I am taking this semester, but also because I realized it would be helpful later in my studies. Francis D. K. Ching writes excellent books about design and construction, so I knew this book was perfect for what I needed. As with other Ching books, it includes many hand-drawn diagrams and typed up notes that go along with them. I highly recommend this product for any students studying building design or architecture, as it considers both the construction design and the laws that are in place controlling the design-such as ramp heights for people in wheelchairs. 5/5 Would read again

    Excellent building/construction reference

    The book is very good, even after being an architect for 30 yrs I still occasionally reference this book. My complain is with the rating system of used. The book was used much more than the rating system indicated.

    Great book for an intro to construction! Fantastic graphics and very detailed. It even includes building codes and talks about green technology.
