Best movie in a long, long time
I love everything about this movie the actors they have doing the voices were absolutely perfect you could'nt get a more perfect fit. The story was gripping to say the least. I have watched it now 6 times since I purchased it "2" months ago I recommend this movie to any body of any age it's just an awhsome picture. I wish they had more movies just like it.

Rise of the Guardians is an EXCELLENT holiday movie!!
LOVE this movie, however it is may not be appropriate for little bitties who would be afraid of a dark character. The Yeti are hilarious, and this Santa is MY FAVORITE movie Santa of all time. The story of how Jack Frost becomes a guardian is heroic!

Jack Frost and his friends might not warm your kids or grandkids
I bought this DVD with my grandchildren in mind, thinking they would enjoy it. It's good in its way, but not so good as to render the classic Disney films or the better Pixar films obsolete. I will have to set it aside till the kids are a lot older to see if they like it. The film has good visuals, but there is an emphasis on action, frenetic movement at the expense of thought. Exciting, to be sure, but all animated movie these days are. It's hard enough to talk to young kids about Santa Claus and Rudolph, even Frosty the Snowman, but this movie calls for adults to explain a new mythology about a personified Jack Frost, Tooth Fairy, Sandman, and a version of the Easter Bunny who is surprisingly dyspeptic, nothing like Bugs, Bambi's Thumper, Alice's White Rabbit, but closer in edginess to Jessica's Roger. There is no comforting character here, none that little kids would want to play with as dolls or take to bed as things to cuddle while sleeping. Still, older kids, say past 8 or 9 years, might like the movie, but only as a temporary diversion, not as something they will demand to see over and over again. The best movies for children engage their emotions. This movie might leave them as cold as the frost of the main character.
Awesome movie, love the characters it has a little bit of everything funny, sad, and happy, and has a little bit of dark in it.

Great movie for an awesome price
Very entertaining movie. The wife and I planned to see it with the 2+4 yr old boys, chose to see in on the projector ourselves and it was great and crisp clear. Highly recommend.
