    They are better than the Jeep brand. The driver's side that broke from use was caused by poor material construction albeit it lasted 8 yrs and the pass. side is still working. My conclusion comes from comparing this new one to the old one that failed. The way this one is built I will never have to replace it.

    Looks nice, but broke when tested.

    The item is made from heavy nylon but the clips are low grade plastic. The Velcro straps are also too short by a good 3 inches for secure connections. It says good for padded or non-padded bars, but my version seems to be good for only non-padded models. Also, when installed, while testing the grab handles, one of the corners broke upon pulling down on it. I do not recommend this if you intend to actually use it. I would go with a metal version of the clips or metal handles all together
