These are excellent drop-in decoders for the locomotives for which they are designed. Be prepared to file down the solder "lumps" that serve as the decoder's contacts with the left and right halves of the chassis to pick up the track power. The lumps on all of mine were a bit too thick/tall for easy installation. After filing them down, you will find that they slip right into place. Take care to ensure the motor contact tabs actually contact the (normally) thin wire power leads to the motor.
