They have a nice shine to them. Some of the beads came chipped, but most of them are usable. I provided a picture of one of the beads that has a chip in it. Someone told me garnet tends to break easier? Not sure if this is true, but it seems to be the case if some arrived with chips in them. Most of these gouges you wouldn't notice unless you inspected (which I did).
