    could have been packed better but it's good ram at a good price.

    the ram arrived in a regular envelope with a label taped to it. there was a cardboard and tape package loose inside. inside the cardboard and tape was a section of anti-static bag surrounding the ram, but not a proper bag. one corner of the ram was openly exposed, defeating the purpose of the anti-static material. the ram works fine and checked out 100% with the latest version of memtest, so i'm satisfied. i just feel a bit more care could have been taken with the packing. at least completely surround the ram with anti-static material! otherwise, the ram is what you would expect from its specs. mine is a set from an hp computer, still with "hp spare" stickers.

    mostly works in dual 800 Mhz mode

    I got 6 total and 5 of them worked in dual 800 Mhz mode. The other worked only with a 1 GB stick in dual 800 Mhz mode. All worked at 800 Mhz per CPUZ. At $11 a stick and free quick shipping this is an excellent value.
