    Does the trick.

    Reconnecting was nice and easy- the logo light is not as bright as the original- but i'm ok with that- it's nice that they even offer it. Matching the sound to the original speaker is almost impossible- they both sound great, but totally different. In short- If your speaker amp blows- this will do the trick nicely!

    If Done right it excellent.

    This is the second amp of this model that I purchased.. I put them on a Electro/Voice I force Eliminator 15” Which runs on 250watts Rms.. Ive had these speakers for 10 yrs or better and i never heard them sound this gd I not only recommend this amp but I recommend to cut out a template and center the amp correctly before you cut the the space.. If you do it correct you will be more than happy.. Also make sure the specks are very close, Don’t ask thus amp to do more than it’s capable or you will ve crying like others who don’t know what they’re doing.

    Thoughful Redesign

    This version is simply designed way better than the OEM version that did not have any ventilation of the alleged 1000 watt amplifier. The original module had literally cooked the power supply filter capacitors The instructions that were supplied were clear and simple to follow. It will take about 10 minutes to replace this module. The DSP section was more than adequate to control this speaker system. It does seem to run a bit warm, but being vented it should outlast the original module which was sealed into the rear chamber of the speaker cabinet with no moving air supply. What was Electro-Voice engineering thinking?

    Problem finally solved!!!

    Absolutely amazing!!! I'm a sound engineer that is very familiar with EV products. Both the ELX 112/115p and ELX 118p are excellent products minus the fact that a large amount of the amplifiers have a major defect from the factory that will cause it to fail/not work. This has been a major problem for years because if you order a new one from EV not only will it be expensive but it also will eventually fail. Another option would be to pay a technician to fix it with the same parts EV will provide and it to will fail. This replacement amp is a dream come true!!!! Not only does it work without fault but it also sounds better then the original and has a built in DSP management system that never came with these models. This replacement turned my speakers into a much better sounding and reliable ...

    Powered speakers

    Got tired of hauling racks and amplifiers around to gigs. Tried 2 of these in our JBL cabinets and they worked so good we ordered 3 more and installed them in our floor wedges. With the new X Air18 and the ability for multiple monitor sends, everything worked well. If you already own good speakers, this is a good alternative to buying new powered speakers. Mike
