My hand-me-down 4610SU had a spindle break at the wheel. I ordered an E0NN3106AA went to swap it out. The spindle that came off of the tractor did not have a thick diameter shaft near the bottom, but was only slightly raised. I called Cross Creek and immediately spoke with a parts expert. He explained, given the history of replacement part pricing, many farmers along the way switched the spindle housing for the smaller style. Without this knowledge, I would have been on a goose chase. Accidentally ordered the wrong part for my ‘48 Ford 8N. Messaged seller, and with a photo of the steering box they were able to identify that it had been replaced with a ‘50-‘52 model steering box at some point over the years.
