    Good for Nikon D5100

    The batteries fit my D5100 and the charger just as well as the Nikon batteries do. Seem to last a little longer than the original too, but could be that the Nikon pack is aging, and these are fresh. However, my Nikon battery still holds charge very well, so I don't think it's in too bad of condition, and according to the power ratings (see below), the Wasabi units should last a little longer than the Nikon ones. I haven't had time to really put them through their paces yet tho, so I can't comment on durability, but it's worth mentioning that these Wasabis do use "Premium Cells from Japan", which from my research prior to purchasing, is an important factor to look for.     Works, But Does Not Meet Stated Capacity

    So here's my little in-depth review of the Wasabi EN-EL14 camera battery. I received the batteries (I ordered the 2-pack) 6 business days after I ordered them (I ordered them Sunday). I live in Virginia, and they shipped from California, so not terrible shipping speed. They arrived in small bags in their own battery-sized boxes in a 2-battery-sized box in a bubble mailer. That doesn't seem like the best way to ship lithium batteries to me, but they weren't damaged. When they arrived, they were both at lithium battery storage voltage (7.67V for one and 7.72V for the other), which is good. One battery weighed 44.03g and the other 44.21g. For comparison, my genuine Nikon EN-EL14 battery weighs 47.36g. The Wasabis claimed to have 1500mAh of capacity. My Nikon only has 1030mAh. ...

    These batteries work and save money!

    I have not used these batteries very much at this point but have heard the Wasabi batteries are reliable. And they cost a lot less than the OEM batteries. So, I believe they are well worth purchasing as backup batteries and see how they do when I really need them. Time will tell.
