    Hi g0ldenk23, The PurePro Alkaline filters are no longer packaged in boxes like they used to. To ensur it doesn't get damaged during transit, we wrap them with cardboard (we try our best to reuse cardboards and boxes for maximum environmental waste) hence the packaging. The filters we sell online are NEVER used and always BRAND NEW. We're sorry that the packaging made you assume otherwise but although there may be other sellers selling used filter, it is not in our company ethics. Thank you.

    pure Pro alkaline filter does not raise the pH of RO water also does not make the water more alkaline what a waste of money.

    Hi there,Many thanks for you feedback and sorry to hear about the Pure-Pro alkaline did not work for you. We've tested many of these and the pH level was at least 7.5 although Pure-Pro do aim for 8.0 - 9.5. We're not sure if it's a faulty filter (although we've never had this issue before) but happy to see how we can rectify this issue, we can try sending out a new one for you to try just incase it is a fault with the filter somehow.
