    So far so good. The latch has been working as it was designed.

    If you are mechanically inclined the repair is pretty easy. It took me about an hour and a half since I was filming a tutorial on how to install the latch. It simply takes a little bit of patience and basic mechanical tools to perform the repair.  My YouTube channel is called Import Domestic if you are interested in the tutorial. I will be posting the video soon once the video editing has been completed. I’m just glad it was a cost-effective OEM latched available for my Infiniti Q70L. My local Infiniti dealership wanted $650 for the same repair. Unfortunately it is a common problem with these gears breaking after years of moisture getting into the latch causing the plastic to become brittle.
