Directions are on seismometer along with the instruction sheet given. USB drive given with the software and additional material worth reading. Make sure you use it on carpet only along with the cable. Put the seismometer on a concrete pad, brick the top of the QM, and make a loop on the brick and brick it as well for no noise of the line. (weight) Excellent Seller! Highly Recommended!

This one was connected to my raspberry pi and spitting out data within five minutes (already had the raspberry pi and jAmesies software set up). Already verified it is seeing what other professional seismometers see near my location. Very nice!
