Brand New WWII Spark Plug!
Fits the P&W R2800 cylinder in my Man Cave perfectly. The round container was sealed, probably from the 1940's! It's brand new. Great price!

They don't make 'em like this any more...
I photographed a number of Allison V1710 engines and parts yesterday that will be put out to bid later this year. The owner asked me what I thought 130 of these spark plugs would be worth, so now I'll know. I do know that these were used in Allison V1710 engines installed in the early P-51 and A-36 Mustangs, P-38, P-39, P-40, P-82, and in only one of the Unlimited hydroplanes running today, to name a few. I'm searching for the applications catalog at the moment, but suffice to say, I am impressed with the quality and production of the machinists' trade in that era.
