    OMG OEM!

I read reviews elsewhere of product failure of those $25 numbers. Bosch is an Original Equipment Manufacturer, OEM. If you want to do the job once and return the vehicle back to sevice quickly this is the way to do it. The actual work was easy, requires little effort, knowledge and tools. :15 job at best.

    Faulty sensor

I purchased one sensor back in late December, and it worked great! After six months, it is still functioning well. In April, I bought another sensor to keep it as a spare part on my shelves. However, when I tried to use it five days ago to replace a faulty MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor, it didn't work as expected. The car would stall, and the acceleration was sluggish. To diagnose the issue, we scanned the car using a Mercedes Benz SD Connect 4 Scanner. The scan revealed the error code P2004-002, indicating a "B2/5 (Hot film mass air flow sensor): Short circuit to ground or open circuit (P0102)." Although the sensor I purchased appeared to be new, it failed to function properly. It's worth noting that the product description mentioned that the sensors do not come in a box. Considering the ...

  • Good investment

Sensors become old before they fail. I changed that sensor on my 1998 ML320 because I though it was time. It required 1 screwdriver and 5 minutes. Since that change I reduced my fuel consumption by 12 %, and the car is much smoother than before. It will pay for itself within this year. A good expense if brand new and genuine. Can't speak otherwise.

  • Personally?

I don’t like it because I can’t use it but my car loves it. It came back to life as soon as this Bosch mass air flow was bolted on. No more sluggish, tiresome feeling, so if my car loves it then I guess I do too. Huge difference!

  • Same but different

Changing this MAF cured the running issues with my car. However the screws holding the MAF to the housing were not standard security torx but some new variation with a larger center pin. My security torx tool his not fit so I has to change the whole unit. I would have been much easier to change just the MAF itself.
