Generic brand (not Micron as shown), but works great!
This RAM module works great in my 2010 Mac Mini, but I learned some lessons in the process. Be sure to always use Prime95 to test your system RAM! I tried to combine this 4GB module with the old 2GB module, and it booted up and seemed to work, but Prime95 had errors within about 10 seconds. I would have been pulling my hair out over random crashes if I hadn't done this testing. Turns out the 2010 Mini came with 1066MHz memory, and this one is 1333MHz. I thought the newer ones were always backward compatible with slower modes, but not in the Mini. Turns out the computer can handle 1333MHz, but not if you mix speeds. After much experimentation, I learned that the Mac is really dumb, if one stick is fast, it runs the bus fast, and the slower one can't do it and causes errors. This 1333MHz ... Great memory fit!
Installed 2 4 GB memory modules into my newly refurbished iMac and it made a difference. The computer is fast and a joy to use. It is one of the best investments when upgrading a personal computer. The price was the best on eBay!
