    Official vs Retro Bit AC adapters

    While OEM AC adapters can cost three times the price of a Retro Bit AC Adapter the overall performance and quality is worth the investment. The Retro Bit AC adapters are poorly constructed, generate an alarming amount of heat and are prone to burning out (I went through two before purchasing an OEM Adapter). Official Adapters are well built and easily refurbished, a quick search for capacitor kits to replace aging components will turn up dozens of cheap results. If an original Nintendo Adapter is failing, most retro gaming stores provide recapping services for a reasonable fee. Additionally many after market AC adapters (such as the Retro Bit models) do not provide reliable voltage regulation.     Original all the way

    Don’t be fooled by knock offs, the only way to properly amplify your SNES gaming experience is with this power pack. This was the only component missing from the original console we had and after trying knock offs, retros and even power packs for emulator systems we found this is the only way to go. Games won’t work properly, controllers seemed to not react on time and some games wouldn’t even play. Without the authentic power pack you won’t get the true, on point experience with your SNES system.

    SNES power cord

    The first time I bought a power cord, I used Amazon and they sent me a cord that says it was meant for the SNES system, but it didn't fit. I bought this cord from eBay and it fit perfectly. My Nintendo seems to work a lot better than it has in a long time. Totally worth it.

    This is the original Nintendo licensed SNES AC adapter and is the one you should have that has the correct processing power it needs. Don't bother buying those cheap 3rd party adapters. Not worth the money
