    Disappointing

    I first saw "A Christmas Memory" and thought this was another book by the same author, but as it turned out, it is the same story basically, but kind of a continuation of A Christmas Memory. The little boy from the first movie goes on to military school and it tells the story of his father in this version. The names are the same, as it is Suke (played by Julie Harris, where as Patty Duke was in A Christmas Memory!) and the boy is a different actor. He isn't as good as in the first movie, but does a good job as Buddy! It is worth viewing, but just not as well done as A Christmas Memory, at least in my humble opinion!

    Perfect title for this movie

    What a story and so true for the time period and even today we have father's like this. Well written and directed and acting was very good. It's a movie that can be watched over and over and one can learn from what happens in each of these people's lives.
