Fairly Fun & Fast, Limited Radio Range, Handles small ripple waves well
Overall OK+. Fast enough to be interesting, and get itself into trouble. Very stable on smooth to light ripple waves, ran fine on large lake with 10 MPH wind. ESC overheats at full throttle but stops boat then recovers operation. Radio range poor, maybe 200-300 feet max. Manual is incorrect in many ways, mainly radio operations, always needs binding to run each battery pack, but you'll figure it out. Manual shows prop shaft disconnect via set screws at metal motor coupling, actually has cheapy plastic slide in coupler that probably will break easily (maybe designed that way??) and will require motor to be removed to grease the driveshaft. Works fine with LiPo battery packs also. Parts seem to be available from Rage RC. Not bad for the price but not the quality of other minis on the market.
