Simple to install
Simply wire input to the top. black on left white on the right. Then wiring output to motor on the bottom with the same black on the left and white on the right. Then wire the pressure switch inline to the on/off switch on the bottom long wire. You can simply cut the blue wire going to the built in breaker from the on/off switch and splice the pressure switch inline. Very simple install.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works great on my 7.5hp single phase industrial compressor I converted from 10hp 3phase. Works as it should
Works as it should. I oversized it for my 5 hp motor to be sure it will hold up. Not the nicest unit I have seen. Mostly poor fit in box, but once you close the cover it looks great and works great. I'm unsure of the longevity of this unit as it has only functioned 50 times. I'm pleased with the unit for the price. Good value for the price. Larger than I expected and solidly built. There is nothing I would change. Plenty of room for routing wires. I won't know durability for awhile but so far so good. This is controlling a 6 HP motor on a compressor so there's margin.

mag starter switch, minor problem
the mag starter switch shown seems to be a good quality unit, and after purchasing the ONLY thing I have negative to say is about the instructions that are included about how to connect it... they are wrong.... I connected it as instructed and it violently smoked the little on-off switch that is on the side of the box... when connecting it, I questioned in my mind what was there a 3 wire on-off switch for when a 2 wire switch would be better.... but then the instructions said to disconnect the leg going to L1, so I did and never gave it much more thought, thinking that whoever went thru the trouble to include the instructions double checked their calculations..... after the damage to the mini rocker switch, and inspecting what went wrong, it was found that the other 2 wires from the mini switch made a direct short when the coil pulled in, due to the way they are wired into the unit.... so be aware and double check before putting power to it I installed the mag starter on a compressor, and even though the mini switch no longer functions, its less than $5 to replace if I wanted it inline..... the work around is to disconnet all the wires from the mini on-off switch, and use the switch on the unloader pilot to pull in the mag coils to energize the motor.... when wired as it SHOULD be for a compressor application, the wiring is much less complicated that it has been engineered to be in the box and the instructions that are included with it..... otherwise it is a good, sturdy well made starter switch....Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
