Good price on a hard-to-find item. My kid left his version of this puzzle outside for a little too long, and we needed to replace it. Seller delivered the item as described, in solid shape, well packaged.

Seller negotiated price, decent shipping and packaging, but idea didn’t function properly. One of the buttons didn’t work on a LeapFrog for kids, description advertised as “working”. I think eBay refunded me so I am leaving a neutral review.

      Great Alert

I am surprising my husband with this discontinued product for Christmas. I have had it before but my original finally gave up the ghost. it is much better than another brand I currently have that uses movement of the mailbox door - it is very unreliable. This one is light sensitive and goes off when the mailbox door is open. Due to our mailbox being about 75 feet away in a brick column, it sure saves multiple steps to check on the mail. Too bad another manufacturer didn't pick this up in their product line.

      Remote Mailbox sensor

The distance between my Receive and Mailbox is approx 60 ft.but the unit will not work at that distance. I had the exact model a few years back and it worked great. Dont know what the difference is but would caution anyone that you need to get closer than what I have. Even tried it standing by the mail box and keeping the sensor outside but still did not work.

    • Easy install, alarm and light notification

Easy installation. Has a flashing notification light in case you miss the alarm. When mailbox is opened, alarm will sound and light will flash until you reset it.. The change in light is what activates the alarm. Alarm is a little loud with no way to adjust but not bad when you get use to it.

    • Good option to current Chinese made

Works great even though it’s an oldie - much better than el cheap chinese stuff. One caution is the sensor operates on light and not motion so if yr mail person is delivering mail in the dark, the sensor will not pick up the box being opened.

    • When mine broke after 15+ years, I got another; no better endorsement!

Just really pleased with this little gadget. If the last one is anything to go by, they're very long lasting and reliable. I think water finally got past the seals in the old one, but I can't complain after it worked faultlessly for more than 15 years. A little battery-powered photocell and transmitter goes in your mailbox, attached to the door with sticky-backed velcro. When the door opens, light hits the photocell and triggers the transmitter. In the house, the receiver beeps for about 30 seconds, then goes silent. The normally red power indicator light then blinks green until reset to remind you the box has been opened (and mail awaits). The transmitter uses two CR2032 batteries that usually last me 3-4+ years. The receiver is powered by an AC wall adapter. My mailbox is across the ...
