Seller Notes: “RARE 1940's WWll War Era Racine/Gallet & Co., timepiece running and in Excellent overall condition! ... “RARE 1940's WWll War Era Racine/Gallet & Co., timepiece running and in Excellent overall condition! Crystal V. Good condition. Crown functions as it should. Amazing "Mercedes Hands" with Exotic Sweep second with original "Lume" intact in ALL hands. It has two movement retaining screws missing but easily replaceable. One piece Solid Steel Case with pierced lugs in Excellent condition. Two tone Dial in Excellent condition for its age. Screwback cover tightens up well with only a few very light surface scratches that will easily buff out . Rubber gasket needs replacing. The 2-piece Strap is soft subtle "Deer Skin" made in France and in V. Good condition. It appears this beautiful Historic timepiece has had little to no Service History and therefore absolutely requires an Inspection, Cleaning and Lubrication, something I generally recommend with all Vintage timepieces.”
